The Opportunity
We are seeking a graduate to join the firm as a Graduate Tax Consultant, working in-office in Dublin 17. This role is suited to someone who wants to build a strong foundation in tax advisory work through close exposure to real client situations.
You will work directly with the principal and senior team members, learning how tax issues arise in practice and how advisory work is structured, communicated, and documented.
The Role
As a Graduate Tax Consultant, you will support advisory engagements across a range of areas, including:
* Personal and business tax planning
* Cash extraction and owner-managed business issues
* Estate and inheritance planning
* Property transactions and structuring
* Separation and family restructuring matters
* Cross-border and internationally mobile client issues
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing background research and factual summaries for client consultations
* Assisting in the preparation of written meeting summaries and follow-up notes
* Supporting planning engagements with data gathering and issue tracking
* Attending client meetings where appropriate
* Developing technical knowledge through supervised work and review
* Assisting with internal documentation and process development
The Ideal Candidate
You will likely have:
* A strong academic background in accounting, finance, law, or tax
* An interest in tax advisory work
* Good written communication skills and attention to detail
* A thoughtful, curious approach to problem-solving
* The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Further Education
This role is designed for graduates who want to develop as tax advisers. You will enrol as an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute and progress toward qualification as a Chartered Tax Adviser, the benchmark qualification for tax advisory professionals.
