Company Information and Introduction:Weltec Ltd. Engineering are seeking a BIM/VDC QAQC Engineer. This role will be office-based and may also involve occasional site visits/inspections. Primarily working within the Project, Quality & VDC teams, assisting in the design and preparation of high-quality engineering drawings for a broad range of projects but also be capable of working on your own initiative. Reporting to the BIM & VDC Department Manager.Key Responsibilities and Duties: Partnering with Engineers, Modellers & Design Partners you will check & verify designed Elements released from Design Teams & Clients.Compliance Checks Through QA/QC Process on the Weltec CDE Environment ensuring that the models and sheets conform with the Client/Customers Specifications, Construction Codes & Best Practice.Report all anomalies found within packages in a structured manner, creating viewpoints and presentations along with unique references for the issues found.Ensure that anomalies are fixed and closed from the reports in a timely manner to maintain Project schedules.Trend errors reporting on types, quantity and severity of anomalies to create improvement plans to the current detailing process.Liaise, internally with Project Engineers, BIM Engineers, BIM Manager/Coordinator and external design team members on a regular basis.Survey & Check Site Conditions to verify Design & Construction environments reflect the modelled environment.QA Check and verification of 3D model files through Navisworks, Revit/AutoCAD/Plant 3DQA Check and verification of 2D co-ordination sheets, installation drawings & IsometricsEnsuring that detailed model files are co-ordinated constructible and clash free.Carry out other duties as directed by your Manager.Produce accurate, consistent, and professional records, reports, and general information.Support completion of the associated MEP works in accordance with the Program.Ensure work is carried out to the highest of quality and safety StandardsCarry out onsite Surveys, Scans & checks of the Installed Services, reporting anomalies and issues that are found.Key Skills and Competencies:Minimum 3 Years' Experience (MEP preferred)Experience in Semiconductor, Data Centre & Pharma ProjectsExperience using 3D BIM Environment workflowsExperience with Revit/Plant 3D, AutoCAD, NavisworksAbility to prioritise workloadExcellent negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skillsTechnical and Practical Knowledge of The Building Industry, trade or Engineering BackgroundAdvance Knowledge of Ms Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Industry Specific SoftwareSelf-starter capable of delivering targets and deadlines
