Job Summary
We are recruiting Social Care Workers for our community houses. The role requires permanent contracts with full‑time and part‑time hours. The Social Care Worker ensures a high‑quality standard of care and support to all the people we support.
Responsibilities
Ensure a high‑quality standard of care and support to all individuals.
Maintain high‑quality support and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, colleagues and other agencies through effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
Promote and empower those you support through a person‑centred approach, including community inclusion and individualised support.
Use own initiative in service provision and assist with staff supervision when required.
Essential Criteria
Possess a CORU‑approved qualification at NFQ Level 7 or above in Social Care / Applied Social Studies or be registered with CORU as a Social Care Worker.
Qualification received outside the State recognised by NARIC as equivalent to the Irish Level 7 award.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and report writing skills.
Good knowledge of HIQA regulations.
Strong commitment to increasing opportunities for people to become valued contributing members of their local community and to live their best life.
Eligible to work in Ireland and possess a full clean driving licence.
Desirable Criteria
Ability to collaborate and work as a member of a team.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Good IT and administrative skills.
Experience in staff supervision.
Additional Information
Induction is provisionally scheduled to commence on 13th July or 10th August. All job offers are subject to two successful references, qualifications, ongoing Garda Vetting, completion of mandatory training both online & onsite, and a satisfactory pre‑employment medical. Salary will be paid at the Social Care worker scale on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales, depending on qualifications and experience.
