Key Role Summary:
This is a pivotal position for a Commercial Management Specialist who will oversee all commercial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost forecasts, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQs) based on project drawings and specifications.
* Administer and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
* Monitor and control project costs, valuations, and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct thorough tender analysis and support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
* Prepare and evaluate progress payments, final accounts, and change orders.
* Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting to support project and business decisions.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure effective communication and cost management.
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities on projects.
Requirements:
* Qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
* Proven experience in a commercial or cost management role within construction.
* Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC).
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
