Sales Director (Architectural Glass & Door Systems)

Are you an accomplished commercial leader with deep roots in the glass, façade, or door systems industry? We are seeking a Sales Director to lead commercial operations across for a German premium manufacturer of architectural glass fittings and systems. This is a pivotal role for someone who understands the dynamics of the sector and can build long-term partnerships in a technically demanding market.
The Company
Our client is a trusted German manufacturer, renowned for precision engineering and design excellence. Their product portfolio includes swing and sliding door systems, partition wall solutions, and premium glass fittings used in high-end architectural and interior applications. Their solutions are integral to modern building design — combining functionality, aesthetics, and durability.
Your Responsibilities
* Define and implement the sales and growth strategy for the German market
* Lead and manage key customer relationships, with a focus on OEMs, distributors, architects, and metal/glass fabricators
* Guide a team of Area Sales Managers and inside sales professionals to achieve revenue goals
* Support project-based selling, from specification to delivery and after-sales
* Collaborate with the R&D and Technical teams to align product offerings with market needs
* Track competitor activity and market trends to identify and act on opportunities
* Represent the company at industry exhibitions, customer events, and architectural forums
Your Background
* You must come from the industry: experience in glass fittings, architectural hardware, doors, façades, or metal/glass construction systems is essential
* You have a portfolio of designers, architects, and private clients and are not worry about being very operational when needed
* Strong commercial background with at least 8 years in B2B sales and business development
* Demonstrated leadership in managing sales teams and complex customer portfolios
* Existing network of contacts within the German construction or architectural ecosystem
* Fluent in German and English
* Willing to travel nationally and occasionally across Europe
