. This is an opportunity for a technically strong and motivated
Senior Engineer
with a background in either
mechanical or electrical building services design
to play a pivotal role in the delivery of complex, high-performance projects across
Ireland, Europe, and beyond
.
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team driving
innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence
, helping to shape the infrastructure that powers the digital world at their on-site office in West Dublin.
The Opportunity
* Lead the
design and delivery of large-scale data centre and mission-critical projects
, ensuring technical quality, resilience, and efficiency from concept to handover.
* Develop and coordinate
mechanical and/or electrical building services systems
, including:
* Power distribution, UPS, backup generation, switchgear, and earthing.
* HVAC, cooling, ventilation, and energy recovery systems.
* Integrate low-carbon and sustainable design principles throughout every stage of the project lifecycle.
* Oversee detailed design development, QA reviews, and compliance with industry standards.
* Collaborate with architectural, structural, fire, and environmental teams to deliver fully integrated solutions.
* Mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical excellence, and support ongoing professional development.
* Engage directly with clients, vendors, and contractors, building trusted relationships and ensuring project success.
About You
* Degree-qualified in
Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
.
* Minimum
5 years' experience
in mechanical or electrical design within
data centres or mission-critical facilities
.
* Proven technical expertise in design software such as
AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or Hevacomp
.
* In-depth understanding of relevant standards (IEC, EN, BS) and Irish or UK building regulations.
* Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.
* Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership (CIBSE, IEI, or equivalent).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* A genuine interest in
low-energy, sustainable design and emerging technologies
.
