Hotel Banquet Manager
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to lead the hotel banquet department in a thriving events and weddings venue. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning and execution of all events within the hotel, including conferences, weddings, banquets, and private functions.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, guest-focused, and capable of leading a team to deliver exceptional service standards from initial booking through to event delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of the hotel banquet department on a daily basis
* Oversee event set-up, service, and breakdown in coordination with operational teams
* Liaise with clients to ensure all event requirements are met and expectations exceeded
* Lead, train, and schedule the C&B team to deliver seamless event execution
* Collaborate with Sales, Kitchen, and Front Office teams to ensure smooth operations
* Monitor service standards and implement improvements as needed
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety, fire, and hygiene regulations
* Manage stock levels, linen, equipment, and function room readiness
Requirements:
* 2+ years' experience in a similar Conference & Banqueting or Events Management role
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* A passion for delivering excellent guest service with attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
* Knowledge of event software systems is an advantage
* Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland
