We are looking for an EHS Advisor with a manufacturing background who will work across our two manufacturing facilities (Arklow and Carlow). Reporting into our EHS manager you will work with our Production teams on a daily basis promoting a positive EHS culture.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
Lead and promote a positive EHS Culture across the site, with all site personnel to drive a safe working environment whilst assisting Managers to ensure safe completion of tasks and activities
Devise and implement safety plans in line with client requirements to provide safe place of operation
Liaise with contractors to ensure Safe System of Works are implemented
Attend site project meetings to discuss EHS issues and plans
Ensure all EHS documentation is in place and valid
Issue safety reports to detail accident, incidents, and safety issues
Review, update, and publish HSA Controlled Documentation
Conduct and participate in the auditing process to assure compliance to requirements and report on findings
Proactively work with operational teams to ensure that EHS is considered at all stages and that relevant control measures are identified
Monitoring and Measuring EHS objectives and targets in-line with defined metrics
Compliance Assurance in line with client, legislation, and best practices
Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders
Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time
Requirements
Level 7 or higher qualification in Health and Safety
Experience in a similar role previously
Experience working in the manufacturing industry previously is desirable
Knowledge of the manufacturing/ construction sector in Ireland
Strong and proven ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint), and a general competence in using new technologies (Mobile Apps etc)
