Job Description
Role Introduction:
We are seeking an IT Director to lead our Ireland IT team, providing end-to-end IT services, managing projects, and driving local improvements. This permanent role reports to the Group CIO and line manages the MD Retail Ireland, based at our Head Office in Park West, Dublin. The successful candidate will be a confident people person, adopting a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Irish IT function, providing strategic direction for local projects.
Plan and execute technology projects and systems implementations effectively.
Enhance customer experience through digital solutions.
Present monthly updates on projects, risks, and issues to senior leadership.
Build strong relationships with service users to maximize IT value.
Identify needs for upgrades or new systems and develop strategic plans.
Manage the Ireland IT budget, ensuring strong ROI.
Develop IT metrics and reporting for performance assessment.
Implement and manage IT practices aligned with governance frameworks.
Identify process efficiencies and manage IT infrastructure at retail sites.
Ensure cybersecurity controls and risk management are maintained.
Collaborate with Group CIO on strategic initiatives and standards.
Contribute to Ireland's senior management team and the broader IT community.
Candidate Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Honours degree in IT or related field; postgraduate degree advantageous.
At least 10 years of relevant IT experience, including 3+ years in senior management.
Experience managing IT budgets and ROI.
Experience with Azure or AWS preferred.
Experience with Freshservices, POS, ERP advantageous.
Retail environment experience preferred.
