We are looking for a Software Architect to lead the technical design of our digital platform, aligning business and technology requirements. In this role, you'll define the architecture of systems that ingest data from diverse feeds, aggregate, transform and distribute it in real-time across multiple tenants, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring this vision to life.

What you'll do
* Define and own the overall architectural vision and technical roadmap of the product.
* Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into sound technical designs.
* Work with project stakeholders to shape delivery plans by providing technical input.
* Partner with engineering teams to evaluate and guide decisions on technologies and frameworks, balancing fast delivery with long-term maintainability.
* Review and approve solution designs, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and product goals.
* Identify and define appropriate non-functional requirements (e.g., scalability, security, performance) and ensure they are embedded in the overall solution.
* Work with other technical stakeholders (such as DevOps or IT teams) to ensure solutions align with the overall strategy.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, promoting technical excellence within the team.
What you'll bring
* Proven experience as a Software Architect, Principal Engineer, Lead Engineer or similar role designing large-scale distributed systems.
* Hands-on experience with modern messaging technologies (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ) to support real-time event driven architectures.
* Expertise in data modelling, including aggregating, consolidating and normalising data coming from disparate sources.
* Experience designing mulit-tenant, API-first platforms.
* Solid understanding of scalability, fault-tolerance, and high-availability patterns.
* Strong background in cloud-native architectures, including containerisation and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes).
* Ability to formally document complex architectures, solutions, and concepts in a simple, clear and concise manner.
* Excellent ability to communicate and influence across business and engineering stakeholders, adapting style to suit different audiences.
