Facilities Manager (3-Month Contract) Location: Dublin 2 (Onsite) Salary: €29-€39ph. (€53-€71k per annum, pro rata) Hours: 35 hours per week Annual Leave: 25 days per annum (pro rata) Our client, a leading public sector body based in Dublin 2, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for a 3-month full-time contract. This is a fixed term contract and is ideal for a proactive and organised individual with strong facilities experience, a hands-on attitude, and the ability to lead both strategic planning and day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee central services including reception, maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, post, waste management, and recycling Coordinate external contractors and supervise internal facilities staff Manage room bookings and event set-up, including occasional out-of-hours support Prepare tender documents and quotations in line with public procurement rules Liaise with the Office of Public Works (OPW) to manage building upkeep Monitor building issues, plan for maintenance, and implement improvement projects Ensure health and safety compliance including statutory inspections, fire drills, training, and reporting Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure value for money on all goods and services Track stock levels and maintain operational supplies (cleaning materials, stationery, etc.) Support sustainability initiatives and participate in Green Team projects Serve on the Health & Safety Committee and support internal travel coordination Essential Requirements (only candidates with these requirements will be considered: Third-level qualification in Facilities Management or a related discipline Minimum 5 years experience in a facilities or operations management role Experience managing staff, budgets, and suppliers Strong understanding of procurement and public sector purchasing procedures Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to prioritise, multitask, and problem-solve Demonstrated knowledge of health, safety, and welfare obligations in the workplace A flexible, practical, and proactive approach to all aspects of facilities operations Desirable: Postgraduate qualification Certification in Health & Safety Certification in Project Management Working knowledge of the Irish language To Apply:Please submit your CV along to Ben Higgins via the link below.
