Staff Electrical Engineer
We're hiring a Staff Electrical Engineer to help shape next-generation automation and machine platforms.
This role suits someone who enjoys owning electrical design end-to-end, working across system architecture, safety, EMC, documentation, and complex electro-mechanical systems.
Main Responsibilities
Lead electrical design for automation equipment, including schematics, cabinet layouts, wiring harnesses, and BOM creation.
Contribute to system architecture, requirements definitions, and project planning.
Select and specify electrical components for high-reliability industrial applications.
Perform electro-mechanical calculations, simulations, and technical reviews.
Support testing, initial sample inspections, and execution of validation plans.
Create and maintain GDP-compliant technical documentation.
Collaborate closely with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal cross-functional teams.
Preferred / Advantageous
Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 10+ years' experience
Strong technical leadership and a hands-on, structured engineering approach
Deep expertise in hardware with broad understanding of areas such as quality, procurement, and manufacturing
Experience in system engineering, reliability engineering, and structured problem-solving
Skilled in SolidWorks (bonus: SolidWorks Electrical or EPlan)
Knowledge of EMC, Machinery Directive, EN *******, IEC *******
Familiar with risk tools such as Safexpert and Sistema
Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
MS Office proficiency; experience with MS Project, Jira, or Sage is a plus
