We are seeking an accomplished Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Mechanical Engineer Specialist. This role involves working on a variety of projects throughout EMEA, collaborating with team members, and ensuring design processes and engineering techniques are upheld to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in people management, project management, and technical design review. They will be responsible for reviewing technical designs, enhancing functionality and costs on projects, and ensuring effective collaboration between M&E teams.
In addition, they will lead a high-performing team, championing QA and QC, hitting deadline targets, monitoring costs, innovating to minimise expenses within the group, assisting in resource management, interpreting contracts, and liaising with senior management when new industry trends emerge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and enhance technical designs for mechanical engineering projects.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure design processes and engineering techniques are upheld to the highest standard.
* Lead a high-performing team and champion quality assurance and control.
* Monitor costs and innovate to minimise expenses within the group.
* Assist in resource management and interpret contracts.
Requirements:
* Honours degree - Chartered (an advantage, but not essential)
* 10+ years consultancy experience in Ireland
* 3+ years' experience in people management, managing multidisciplinary teams
* 3+ years' project management experience, overseeing both electrical and mechanical engineering projects
