Role Overview
Cpl Healthcare in partnership with Tusla are recruiting for Professionally Qualified Social Workers to join the Children in Care Teams based in Dundalk. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing a direct point of access for the local community/designated service area and offer initial and holistic social assessment and intervention to individuals, families, and groups.
This is a 35 hour per week role that requires a full clean driving license. As a Professionally Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing and prioritising a caseload appropriate to the post.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide a direct point of access for the local community/designated service area and offer initial and holistic social assessment and intervention to individuals, families, and groups.
* Provide an initial assessment service to all care groups and develop referral procedures with other social work networked services.
* Identify service users' individual and collective needs in partnership with them and co-create early interventions and/or social action strategies to meet those needs.
* Manage and prioritise a caseload appropriate to the post.
* Promote a culture that values diversity and respect in the workplace.
* Keep the Team Leader fully informed and up-to-date on all significant matters.
Requirements:
* Be registered in the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.
* Maintain live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
