The successful candidate will ensure all queries and requests are dealt with promptly and professionally. S/he will be responsible for the preparation of documentation, maintaining files and completing financial transactions.Role & ResponsibilitiesPlan shipments and routes to ensure effective use of resources while meeting our SLA with clientsEnsure compliance with EU working time directive and relevant road safety regulationsEnsure active monitoring of all shipments in-transit, providing updates to colleagues and customersEnsure all milestones are updated as per our SLALiaise with sub-contractors, overseas offices, and staff to ensure schedules and SLAs are metLiaise with clients, ATC operations, and field teams to ensure service levels are maintainedWork closely with clients' supply chain functions to ensure schedules are met and accurately reportedRespond to changing customer demands seamlesslyBe responsible for communicating with customers and understanding customer requirementsEnsure proofs of delivery / activity are actively managedPlan vehicles and trailer maintenance schedulePlanning workloads & reloading for drivers and vehicles ensuring minimal empty running of vehiclesWorking as part of a planning team with cross-training for colleaguesLiaising with accounts team to ensure accurate billingEnsure all trackers (FB & L15) are updated in an accurate and timely mannerEnsure all customers emails and requests are acknowledged in a timely mannerEnsure all booking emails are implemented in accordance with Customer Communications SOPEnsure all steps in checklists are followed and completedEnsure all jobs are fully closed out on internal system (Stratum)Any other duties that may be assigned from time-to-time in line with your skills and competenciesCandidate RequirementsAbility to be flexible in respect of work standards and demands. Capable of working under pressure and to strict deadlines. Proven ability to complete tasks. Resilient and able to deal with changing priorities.The successful candidate will be required to possess and demonstrate:Substantial experience transport planning for 3+ yearsExperience in the logistics industry, including white glove servicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent IT skills, including Office 365 and Microsoft OfficeFull understanding of EU Working Time Directive, Digital Tachograph regulations and other relevant regulationsThe following qualifications, skills and experience would be an advantageA working knowledge of a European languageExperience of MS SharePoint in a corporate environment.BenefitsThe remunerating package, including salary and benefits, is negotiable depending on experience.
