We are seeking an exceptional Service Manager to lead, manage, and develop this service - ensuring it sets the standard for rights-based, person-centred community living. As Service Manager, you will operate as part of the Regional Team and take on the role of Person in Charge (PIC) for HIQA purposes. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and effective services that empower individuals to live their best possible lives, fully included in their families and communities. Learn Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Manage day-to-day operations to deliver safe, effective, person-centred services. Lead the implementation of rosters and workforce planning using Softworks. Engage with stakeholders and the Regional Quality Partner to ensure continuous improvement. Produce regular reports on service performance, outcomes, and workforce development. Oversee fundraising and community engagement where appropriate. Team Leadership & Development Provide clear, motivational leadership to multidisciplinary teams. Conduct regular supervision, coaching, and performance reviews. Support recruitment, induction, and professional development in collaboration with HR. Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous learning. Compliance, Safeguarding & Quality Fulfil the role of PIC and ensure full compliance with HIQA standards and statutory requirements. Collaborate with Regional and National Safeguarding, Quality, and Clinical Partners to maintain high standards of safety, care, and governance. Monitor and implement actions arising from audit and inspection processes. Financial & Resource Management Oversee service budgets, ensuring value for money and fiscal accountability. Manage resources effectively to achieve service objectives and KPIs. Community Inclusion & Advocacy Promote the inclusion of people we support in their local communities. Encourage the development of meaningful social roles, relationships, and opportunities for participation. Continuous Improvement Champion innovation and service improvement in line with Cheshire Ireland's ethos. Lead by example in maintaining high professional standards, compliance, and person-centred practices. Essential Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Third-level qualification or relevant professional qualification. Minimum 3 years' management experience in the disability, social care, or healthcare sector. Experience in leading teams, operational planning, and managing budgets. Knowledge of HIQA regulations, safeguarding, and national disability standards. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills. Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, workforce management systems). Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland and fluent in English (spoken and written). Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel. Desirable Experience in strategic planning and new service development. Knowledge of the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015.
