Job Description:
Head of Product
Job Description
At Bookassist, we're proud to offer innovative products that meet the requirements of our clients. To help us continue to grow our offerings, we're searching for a dynamic Head of Product who is skilled in both business acumen and leadership. This person will be a multidisciplinary team player with a strong action bias. The role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to evolve product strategy and drive growth from conception through execution while scaling and leading high-performing product teams.
The role is a remote working position, with access to co-working offices. You would ideally be based within one of Bookassist's core markets: Ireland, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic or Austria. Occasional travel may be required to meet with team members in other locations.
Job Responsibilities
* Product Strategy & Execution
Define long-term product strategy aligned with business objectives and translate vision into executable roadmaps, while leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact products that drive customer value and revenue growth.
* Customer-Centric Product Planning
Own all elements of the product development lifecycle, from market discovery, client engagement and competitive analysis to requirements development, launch, and migration. Ensure all projects are grounded in deep customer insights and market needs.
* Product Marketing & Growth
Lead the end-to-end marketing strategy across the full product portfolio, guiding the team in shaping market narratives, defining value propositions, and delivering messaging that resonates with target audiences. Set portfolio-wide pricing models and positioning strategies to maximise market penetration and accelerate revenue growth.
* Product Ownership
Take direct ownership of a flagship Web Design platform, overseeing product innovation, lifecycle management, and pricing strategy. Drive hands-on decision-making to strengthen platform positioning, fuel adoption, and deliver sustained revenue growth.
* Team Building & Leadership
Build and mentor the Product team as the company scales while maintaining core product management processes, frameworks, and best practices.
* Driving the Sales Pipeline
Partner directly with Sales and Client Success teams to accelerate revenue growth through strategic sales enablement. Act as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to support high-value sales cycles, drive pipeline conversion, and identify strategic partnership opportunities that expand market reach and revenue potential.
* Data-Driven Decisions
Establish and own product KPIs and revenue levers. You will be responsible for defining the tools and metrics necessary to measure product success from the ground up, using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform your decisions and demonstrate business impact.
* Technology & AI Exploration
Proactively identify and leverage new technologies and AI tools to increase product efficiency, enhance user experiences, and streamline internal processes.
* Knowledge Management
Create robust, clean, and well-structured documentation for all products and processes. You will be responsible for ensuring that all critical information is easily accessible, up-to-date, and organised for both technical and non-technical teams.
* Stakeholder Engagement
Work in collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including professional services, partners, and customer success teams. You are a collaborator by nature, able to build consensus and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Job Qualifications
* Experience
5+ years of product and team management experience, with expertise in driving product strategy innovation, accelerating market growth, and building market-leading product portfolios.
* Growth Mindset
A self-directed, curious, and rapid learner who can quickly grasp new technologies and create actionable plans.
* Action Bias & Ownership
A proven ability to take full ownership of your product area and drive outcomes with minimal supervision. You are comfortable with ambiguity and have a bias for action, proactively identifying and resolving challenges to maintain project momentum.
* Communication & Influence
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. You excel at presenting product visions at industry conferences, leading engaging webinars, and delivering thought leadership content that builds market credibility.
* Analytical Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on using data to define and achieve revenue-based KPIs. You are able to analyse a market and competitor landscape, and use those insights to inform your strategy.
* Education
A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Science is a plus. Fluent in English.
What We Offer
* Competitive salary (based on experience)
* Full-time, permanent contract
* Remote working with access to coworking offices
