The Mechanical Engineer will join the research and development department, playing a key role in the on-going success and innovation of this global organisation while developing products with an eye to sustainability. The company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who can test and develop products and over time grow within the innovation division.

Requirements
Hold a ME or BEng level 8 in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years relevant experience.
Working knowledge of Solidworks & AutoCad.
Knowledge of FEA, ideally ANSYS, EN certification & regulatory compliance.
Have a hands on approach in mechanical testing, building test rigs, experience fitting, using tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects through to completion, with excellent communication skills.
Open to national and overseas travel and hold full clean Irish/UK/EU licence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Project manage new product development and product improvements.
Execute design, prototyping and testing activities with a focus on the maintenance of accurate documentation.
Work collaboratively with other engineers and departments.
Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Record and detail development data.
Suggest improvements based on test results and observations.
Analyse and review test data to optimise design and product performance.
Conduct research to stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Operate in compliance with ISO 37301, 9001, company handbook and Code of Conduct.
Follow the appropriate EN standards and country codes for product development.
