Director of Nursing Services Role Summary
The Director of Nursing Services oversees the Senior Nurse Management Team, providing leadership to nursing staff, healthcare assistants, and nursing students around-the-clock.
This position involves night duty responsibilities, operational management during core hours, and out-of-hours duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to activities that meet the objectives of the nursing department.
* Support the Department Head in ensuring effective delivery of quality care and services, and staff development within the nursing department and organization.
* During night duty shifts, be accountable for all aspects of hospital operations, including management of nursing and HCA staff.
* Develop patient services in collaboration with other personnel, review systems, and make recommendations for service improvements.
* Act as a resource and work collaboratively with specialist and professional teams within the hospital.
The Director of Nursing Services will work a flexible roster to ensure continuity of service, including night duty and out-of-hours shifts.
