Job Overview
The Piping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the construction site, ensuring that all piping installation activities are conducted efficiently and effectively. The individual in this position will oversee and coordinate daily operations to guarantee compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, quality standards, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the fabrication, installation, hydrotesting, and flushing of pipes.
* Analyze isometric drawings, P&IDs, and material specifications to inform decision-making.
* Ensure that work is performed according to design, specifications, and project standards.
* Monitor and verify the quality and progress of contractor and subcontractor work.
* Collaborate with QA/QC, HSE, Planning, and Engineering departments to ensure seamless project execution.
* Implement proper handling and storage procedures for piping materials and equipment.
* Manage and track manpower, tools, and materials on site to optimize productivity.
* Facilitate daily toolbox talks and safety meetings to promote a culture of safety.
* Prepare and submit regular progress reports, inspection requests, and site instructions to stakeholders.
* Resolve technical or site-related issues in coordination with engineering or project teams.
Requirements:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* At least 7 years of experience in piping construction, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of piping systems, welding techniques, and construction standards.
* Familiarity with isometrics, P&IDs, and piping material specifications.
* Understanding of hydrotest packages and pre-commissioning activities.
