Are you a GP or Medical Doctor looking for a change of pace? Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Medical Officer on behalf of one of Ireland's leading healthcare providers.
The Medical Officer will be based at a new state-of-the-art sub-acute care facility in Dublin which provides transitional and reablement care on behalf of the HSE. In collaboration with the other Medical Officer, the successful candidate will work as part of a team of 3 and be responsible for the medical care of all patients (including rehabilitation and reablement, palliative, respite, and post-stroke care) with the support of a permanent team of specialised nurses and allied health professionals including physios, medical social workers, and speech and language therapists. This is a full-time permanent position based in Dublin.

Responsibilities of this Medical Officer job include:
1. Assessment, monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in line with Irish Medical Council guidance (IMC) and registration.
2. Provide clinical supervision, advice, and support for staff.
3. Undertake and contribute to medical research and education as appropriate.
4. To keep up to date with relevant areas of medical practice and legislation including CPD requirements and mandatory training and provide evidence to HR office for inclusion in personal file.
What you need to be considered for this Medical Officer job:
1. Be a medical practitioner who is registered, other than provisionally, in the General or Specialist Register of Medical Practitioners with the Irish Medical Council.
2. 3+ years’ experience in medical practice following full registration, with experience in older person services.
