Senior Electronic Engineer Regulated MedTech (Hybrid) Our client an innovative medical device company in the West of Ireland is seeking a Senior Electronic Engineer to join its growing R&D team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking sensor-based platform used in the early detection and prevention of chronic health complications. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on electronic design, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants to work across the full product lifecyclefrom concept to scale-up. Experience in regulated industries (e.g. medical devices, automotive, aerospace) is highly desirable. Role/Responsibilities As a Senior Electronic Engineer, you will: Lead the development of embedded electronic systems aligned with regulatory and product requirements Own hardware architecture, component selection, and analog/digital circuit design Drive design transfer activities to manufacturing (DFM, DFT) Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturing partners to ensure quality standards Contribute to verification, validation, and risk analysis (e.g. FMEA) Support test development and troubleshooting across development and production Maintain design documentation in line with industry compliance and regulatory needs Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional collaboration Skills/Experience Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar 7+ years experience in electronic product development, ideally in a regulated sector Expertise in embedded systems, sensor integration, and analog/digital design Strong proficiency in tools such as Altium Designer, and lab testing equipment Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills Imaging systems or camera module integration (Preferred) Familiarity with ISO 13485 or regulated design controls (Preferred) Embedded firmware/scripting (e.g. Python) Background in New Product Introduction (NPI) and product industrialization For further information please contact James Cassidy or call in confidence
