As a 360 Machine Operative you will be responsible for tasks including; the loading and unloading of containers and curtain siders, recycling sorting, conducting machine checks, using plant machinery such as a Fork Lift, Loading shovel or 360 Excavator (as appropriate) and ensuring good site housekeeping. Key accountabilities: To undertake the operation of mobile plant as directed by the site manager. To be able to operate to a good standard a 360 material rehandler tracked and wheeled To be able to operate to a good standard a loading shovel, wheeled front loader To ensure the mobile plant he is operating undergoes an inspection prior to use with any defects or damage reported to the site manager and noted on the daily check sheet. To ensure Mobile plant is greased all radiators blown clean of dust, and all oil levels maintained in accordance with company/manufacturers procedures. To ensure machine is operated responsibly and only used for the tasks it is designed to carry out. To communicate with colleagues to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the facility. To read, understand and follow all risk assessments, work procedures and safe systems of work. To ensure Mobile plant is washed off at the end of each shift. To carry out tasks other than machine operation as requested by management. Experience and Skills: NPORS certification for operating relevant machinery (essential). High level of operational competence in heavy machinery handling. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work flexibly and take on additional non-machine tasks when required. Attention to detail in inspections, reporting, and maintenance. Responsible and safe approach to equipment operation.
