This role is focused onengineering, troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality voice, video, and conferencing services, particularly for senior leadership and high-profile meetings.The engineer will also support theretirement of legacy Cisco UCC systems, ensuring a smooth transition to a fully Teams-based ecosystem.About the RoleYou will work as a core technical resource within the UCC function, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability across collaboration tools. Daily work includesTeams administration, call quality troubleshooting, room-system support, conferencing readiness, incident resolution, and configuration updates.A key aspect of the role is preparing and supportingexecutive meetings, including occasional early-morning sessions to ensure flawless conferencing performance.The environment is predominantlyMicrosoft Teams, with some short-term Cisco telephony components still present early in the assignment.Key ResponsibilitiesUCC Engineering & SupportAdminister and support Microsoft Teams (voice, conferencing, policies, devices, call queues).Troubleshoot voice/video quality issues using Teams admin tools, analytics, and logs.Prepare, test, and support executive-level meetings and conference calls.Provide hands-on support for endpoints, meeting-room systems, and collaboration devices.Assist with incident response, root-cause analysis, and service improvements.Operational DeliveryExecute routine operational tasks such as configuration updates, permissions, and policy changes.Monitor service health and proactively address performance or reliability issues.Produce concise, professional updates on incidents, changes, and technical findings.Technology Transition SupportSupport the retirement of Cisco UCC systems (CUCM, gateways, telephony) during month one.Validate user migrations, call flows, and Teams voice configurations post-transition.Collaborate with infrastructure teams and vendors to ensure accurate setup and smooth cutovers.What You BringStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams voice, conferencing, room systems, and administration.Solid troubleshooting of UC issues: call quality, device problems, meeting failures, telephony routing, etc.Experience supporting executive communications in enterprise environments.Familiarity with Cisco UCC technologies (CUCM, gateways) sufficient for short-term transition work.Ability to work early mornings occasionally for important meetings.Excellent communication, professionalism, and problem-solving discipline.
