Post 2145 - Production Operator Dublin(NBC) Post 2145 Production Operator, Production (Blood Processing) Department Full Time - Permanent National Blood Centre The IBTS is currently recruiting a full-time, permanent Production Operator based in the Production Department, National Blood Centre. The purpose of the role is: The processing of whole blood and platelet apheresis donations (primary processing). The production of platelet pools and other specialised blood components (secondary processing). The labelling and release of blood components for clinical use. General upkeep of the blood processing department including cleaning, daily/weekly checks of equipment and also the replacement of consumable stocks. Essential Criteria: Leaving certificate or equivalent. Production or Manufacturing experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team Good attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Computer literacy with good keyboard skills Desirable Criteria: Experience in a GMP environment/ completed a relevant course in GMP such as Higher Certificate in GMP and Technology. Experience in a Medical or Pharmaceutical laboratory environment The salary scale attached to the post is the Medical Laboratory Aide scale €40,710 to €47,588 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum. Entry point onto the salary scale is dependent upon relevant experience. The closing date for receipt of applications is 11.45 PM (Irish Time) on Sunday 22nd May 2025. Citizen Requirements Eligible candidates must be: a) A citizen of the European Economic Area (EEA) EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway b) A citizen of United Kingdom (UK) c) A citizen of Switzerland in regards to the agreement between the EU and Switzerland on the movement of people d) A non-EEA citizen who has a stamp 4 visa e) A person awarded international protection under the International Protection Act 2015, or any family member entitled to remain in the State as a result of family reunification and has a stamp 4 visa or f) A non-EEA citizen who is a parent of a dependant child who is a citizen of and resident in an EEA member state if the UK or Switzerland and has a stamp 4 visa.
