Summary of role
Working within GIA you will be a critical support to the team lead, manager and the Head of Audit. The main roles and responsibilities are outlined below:
Assist the team in constructing the annual risk‑based audit plan;
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of GIA’s audit methodology standards, processes and AIB organisational structures;
Support the team lead in the execution of audits from beginning to end including definition of audit scope, test strategy, walkthroughs, tests of detail, sampling, summary of issues and final report;
Undertakes risk‑based Credit audit work across several business areas, geographies and regulatory environments;
Support the team lead in the assessment of business actions within the agreed timelines;
Review and interpret processed data to identify trends and investigate exceptional items;
Actively develop and maintain positive working relationships with your team, management and the business;

Minimum Criteria
A minimum of two years in a financial services and/or audit environment;
Preference for people who have assurance &/or credit related experience;
Have good communication skills;
Be a self‑starter who can work both independently and as part of a team;
Have lots of initiative and excellent attention to detail;
Currently undergoing exams to attain an audit/accountancy qualification or the willingness to undertake such qualifications (e.g. CIA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CISA).
