We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MMS Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will combine excellent business analysis and client-facing skills with extensive experience in the wholesale electricity market.
Your key responsibilities will include providing consultation, diagnosis, escalation, status-reporting, and resolution implementation for reported problems. You will also investigate issues and defects at a detailed level to determine appropriate method of resolution; identify workarounds; provide information to developers to easily replicate issues and fix software defects.
As an on-call support specialist for critical issues affecting customer production systems, you will respond to client inquiries concerning systems usage and operations. Additionally, you will provide technical support and advice for implementation of software fixes/upgrades, coordinate installations of upgrades and revisions to software with customers, and identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to improve customer service efficiency and effectiveness.
A minimum of 10-15 years' experience in business analysis/consulting/advisory or software development roles is required, along with typical qualifications such as a technical degree (engineering, computer science) and preferably work experience in a Technical Customer Support role.
This role requires strong demonstrable analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven ability or the ability to learn software troubleshooting and diagnosis skills. Strong capability in Electric Power Systems analysis and experience with power system analysis including power flow, contingency analysis, unit commitment, economic dispatch, and numerical methods is preferred.
