About the role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a strategic account for Ireland’s national financial regulatory authority, responsible for safeguarding financial stability and protecting consumers.
This high-impact role is based in Dublin, with responsibility for promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring full compliance and client health, safety, and risk management standards.
As a key member of the account leadership team, you will provide direction, oversight, and expert support across all operational areas—including Hard FM, M&E, food safety, and regulated environments. Your leadership will be crucial in embedding a proactive health and safety culture and driving continuous improvement across the account.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation of their clients Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Risk Management policies across the account.
* Provide expert Health & Safety guidance to operational teams and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
* Promote a strong safety culture through engagement, training, and behavioral safety initiatives.
* Oversee site-based audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
* Support the development of Business Continuity and Risk Management plans.
* Manage local documentation systems and procedures in alignment with corporate policies.
* Investigate and analyze incidents, conducting root cause analysis and driving preventative actions.
* Maintain and update risk registers at both operational and strategic levels.
* Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reports, tracking KPIs and LTIR metrics.
* Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement through collaboration with the wider HSEQ community.
Key Deliverables:
* Effective deployment of health & safety initiatives, achieving measurable improvements in safety culture and compliance.
* Full alignment with targets, including incident reduction and LTIR improvement.
* Timely reporting and thorough investigation of all HSE and food safety incidents.
* Consistent and high-quality service support to operational teams, adding value and ensuring risk is effectively managed.
* Development and maintenance of robust documentation and site-specific procedures.
Essential:
* Diploma-level (Level 8) qualification or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety.
* Chartered or Graduate Membership of IOSH (or working towards).
* Proven experience in a senior health & safety role, ideally within Hard FM/M&E environments.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and best practices.
* Familiarity with HACCP and food safety management systems.
* Experience working within high-profile, regulated environments.
* Demonstrated success in implementing safety and quality systems at scale.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
* Skilled in stakeholder engagement across multiple levels of an organization.
