Overview
The Digital Media Trainer will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality Digital Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education and training as part of the Digital Creative Lab and the Countywide Peace Plus Programme. This role is instrumental in ensuring participants gain confidence and experience in STEAM subjects through engaging, hands-on learning. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager – Innovation & Engagement, the STEAM Coordinator and other team members to support the implementation of innovative training programmes in schools, community settings, and within Spraoi agus Spórt’s Digital Creative Lab.

Person Profile
* The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital creativity and education, combining technical expertise with strong facilitation and communication skills. They will have experience in non-formal education settings, particularly with children, young people and adults, and a keen interest in emerging technologies and creative digital skills.

Skills & Experience
* EDUCATION: A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable; however, extensive relevant experience in digital education, technical training, or a related field will also be considered.
* Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and keep up with emerging STEAM education trends.
* EXPERIENCE: Experience facilitating digital creative workshops or training in a non-formal education setting.
* Experience working with children, young people and adults in an educational or community setting.
* Prior experience in training or teaching individuals with disabilities would be beneficial.
* Experience working with young people and adults from diverse backgrounds, including minority ethnic groups and refugees would be beneficial.
* Familiarity with inclusive training approaches, such as quiet hours for sensory-friendly participation is an advantage.
