Our client, a leading Dublin-based company, is seeking an experienced and astute Mechanical Engineering Manager to join their senior leadership team. With a strong construction & mechanical engineering background, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance, ensuring robust contract management, and supporting the financial health of the business.
About the Role
* Strong PPP background
* Review client contracts, negotiating terms and conditions to safeguard business interests.
* Lead on the negotiation, agreement, and placement of sub-contract agreements.
* Support all aspects of commercial reporting, including reviewing cost estimates, cost reports, and WIP reports.
* Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
* Manage change control processes effectively, identifying risks and opportunities.
* Negotiate and settle contentious final accounts with professionalism and efficiency.
* Drive cashflow optimization across the region to support business growth.
* Provide leadership and guidance to commercial teams, ensuring effective training, mentoring, and resource management.
* Uphold the highest standards of health & safety across all projects.
About You
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
* Public-Private Partnership experience (Preferred)
* Strong background in the construction or Mechanical industry.
* Proven track record in commercial management, contract negotiation, and change management.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and manage resources effectively.
* Strategic thinker with strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Willingness to travel between company offices as required.
