Job Summary
Nua Healthcare Services is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse to work as part of our multidisciplinary team within Ireland’s new specialist mental health inpatient service, providing care and treatment for adults aged 18-65 with mental disorders.
Job Objectives

* Comply with relevant legislation including the Health Act 2007, The Mental Health Act 2001, and the Mental Health Amendment Act 2018, as well as safety standards and regulations.
* Ensure that PP’s and ICP’s are current and services are delivered to high standards of quality and safety.
* Adhere to local safety statements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
* Follow all company policies and procedures.
* Use company IT systems responsibly and securely, respecting GDPR regulations.
* Report safety concerns for patients to your line manager.
* Act responsibly and cooperate with regulators.
* Maintain infection control standards according to policy and best practices.
* Manage and administer medications safely.
* Support delivery of front-line nursing care to patients.
* Develop and implement health assessments, medication plans, and personal support plans.
* Ensure health action plans are properly delivered.
* Promote relationships with primary healthcare services in the community.
* Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
* Identify supports and work with individuals, families, and other supports as per personal plans.
* Assist patients with health appointments and follow-up.
* Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
* Promote person-centered planning and shared goal setting.
* Support the development of relevant documentation and plans.
* Encourage community involvement for service users.
* Assist the DON with reports and other administrative tasks.
Skills Requirement
* Registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Strong knowledge of medication management.
* Effective communication skills.
* Understanding of individual needs.
* Ability to work under pressure and independently.
* Experience in supportive roles and relating to people.
* Willingness to learn and adapt.
* Reliable, flexible, and well-organized.
* Good IT skills and self-motivated.
* Effective time management.
