DIVE into a CAREER with iSwim Academy
We are looking for qualified Swim Teachers, with a passion for working with children with disabilities, to join our friendly and dedicated team. This role will primarily involve teaching swimming to children with a variety of additional needs in a supportive and inclusive environment, while also providing the opportunity to teach standard group and individual swimming lessons.
This position is based exclusively at CRC Clontarf.
This is available on both a Part-Time and Full-Time basis.
There is also the possibility to rent a room and live with other swim teachers in our company house – more details will be provided during the interview.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Teach swimming to children with disabilities, ensuring lessons are adapted to individual needs.
* Deliver lessons to people of all abilities and ages.
* Give constructive feedback to help learners develop their skills.
* Maintain customer safety at all times and act appropriately in emergencies.
* Complete all required swim program documentation accurately.
* Take care of swim equipment.
* Create a fun, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
* Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.
* Maintain a high standard of customer service and handle customer complaints professionally.
* Report any issues during sessions to the Manager.
* Work additional hours if required.
* Be an iSwim ambassador and represent the company professionally.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
* Swim Teacher Qualification Level I or Level II (required).
* Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience in a swimming pool.
* Ability to swim all four strokes.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Fluent in English.
* Excellent teamwork skills and eagerness to progress within the Academy.
* Experience and/or qualifications in working with children with disabilities (desirable).
* SNA (Special Needs Assistant) qualification (desirable but not mandatory).
* Any swim teacher training or certification related to teaching individuals with special needs (desirable but not mandatory).
* Pool/lifeguard certification and First Aid (desirable).
* Supervisor experience (desirable).
* Sales and administration experience with MS Word/Excel skills (desirable).
* Full B driving licence (desirable).
* Punctuality and reliability.
