Job Description
This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing dies used in the manufacturing process. Ensuring that dies are in optimal working condition is crucial for production efficiency, product quality, and equipment longevity.
Main Responsibilities:
* Inspecting and maintaining dies to ensure they are in good working condition
* Maintaining accurate records of die maintenance and repairs
* Collaborating with Shift Managers, Press Operators, Maintenance, and Process Engineers to resolve die-related problems
Duties Include:
1. Complying with all relevant EHS policies
2. Die/mould management: Competing die/mould repairs in-house and working with external machine shops to complete major repairs
3. Diagnosing die/mould related issues during production runs
4. Communicating status updates to supervisors and production teams
5. Carrying out checks on proposed new die/mould improvements and conducting online and offline trials
About the Role:
This is a Monday to Friday days role with an attractive salary and benefits package.
Key Skills:
* TIG welding, etching, and spot chroming
* Manual dexterity and visual awareness for precision work
* Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Requirements:
* A Level 6 qualification in toolmaking, tool design, tooling, or a related technical area
* Proficiency in TIG welding, etching, and spot chroming
* Circa 3-5 years or more experience with demonstrable skills
