OverviewUisce Éireann IT (UÉ IT) provides IT/OT services and support to the wider Uisce Éireann business.The Cyber Security Team is responsible for ensuring efficient cyber operations across the organisation, monitoring and implementing security controls and capabilities, and supporting security design activities, ensuring alignment to leading industry, legal and regulatory standards and requirements. The team play a key role in embedding IT/OT security practices across Uisce Éireann processes, procedures and culture and acts as subject matter expert for the Head of IT, on all IT security related matters and issues across the enterprise.Reporting to the Cyber Security Senior Manager, the Enterprise Architect - Cyber Security will engage with the wider IT organisation and the business to deliver the IT cyber security enterprise architecture strategy, policies, procedures and processes with organisational direction and in partnership with the IT Business Partners, as well as ensuring the needs of the business are represented by same.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesDefine, develop and execute the Cyber Security EA strategy with colleagues in the Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture Team, and ensure that the tools, processes and team foster and drive the IT EA efforts for Uisce ÉireannProvide strategic recommendations to ensure a secure and efficient IT estate for Uisce ÉireannThe role collaborates with all the other IT architect roles to develop and maintain the continuity between all Enterprise Architecture effortsConsult with business leaders, IT Business Partners and representatives to ensure understanding of the business requirements and future strategic direction of the supported businessesSupport the definition of and adherence to Enterprise Architecture principles that guide technology decisions for Uisce ÉireannParticipate in the development and communication of a long-term vision for IT Cyber Security Enterprise Architecture and underpin the vision with Enterprise Architecture strategies to deliver same with support and collaboration from the business via IT Business Partners ensuring the Uisce Éireann Cyber Security strategies meet the wider business needsKeep abreast of emerging IT and Cyber Security technologies with a view to aligning IT technology trends to the strategic requirements of Uisce Éireann and encourage the adoption of IT and Cyber Security best practiceReview and input into the utilisation and benefits of IT enterprise architecture investments and realise delivery of same to support the corporate strategy and business plansAid the modelling of the technical landscape to analyse the alignment of business capabilities with delivered technology and IT solutionsEnsure IT capital programs stay aligned to the Uisce Éireann IT Cyber Security strategy and Cyber Security roadmaps while optimising use of existing components and capabilities across the technology landscape through Enterprise Architecture review processParticipating in the evaluation/selection of technology solutions, where requiredBuild strong relationships with the various IT teams within the IT function with the aim of optimising cooperation, maximising efficiencies, and supporting initiativesSupport governance activities associated with ensuring overall Enterprise Architecture compliance in Uisce ÉireannRepresent IW at industry events and CNI stakeholder collaborations and liaise with key external stakeholders including central government and related agencies to ensure that organisational interests are promoted through the development of strategic partnerships and delivering value for the organisation through these partnerships.Maintain awareness and understanding of applicable EU, state and local regulations and aligning risk controls and technology with the appropriate regulations.Developing security architecture, strategies, standards and guidelines for Information Communications Technology (ICT) and Operational Technology (OT)Ensure governance activities such as the tracking of divisional security activities, policy standards adherence and benchmarking of key security controls against best practice are applied through the appropriate governance forum and ensure overall Enterprise Architecture compliance in IW.Other duties as required from time to timeGeneral Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business, including but not limited to; Asset Management, Asset Delivery, Enterprise Risk, Enterprise Architecture and IT-OT Teams.Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.Other duties as required.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceSeven (7) + years relevant experience with a minimum of five years in a Security Architecture role in an environment similar in size and complexity to Uisce ÉireannFive or more years' experience in at least three architecture disciplines, such as business / information / solution / technical in a multitier environmentRelevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirableFormal certification would be an advantage as would knowledge and experience of architecture disciplines, processes, concepts and best practices such as TOGAF, ITIL, ISO: 27000, CISSP and COBITExposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environmentsProven ability to successfully implement and execute programmes and drive high performanceFacilitating the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplaceStrong commercial focus while keeping overall financial perspectiveAbility to translate strategic priorities into operational reality, demonstrating strong decision-making skillsDemonstrated adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirementsProven ability to think strategically and maintain strategic focus while operating across multiple functional areas and in a constantly changing environmentExperience of developing and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholdersAbility to translate strategic priorities into operational reality, demonstrating strong decision-making skillsDriver of high standards for individual, team and organisational accomplishment and delivering desired resultsThe closing date for receipt of applications for this vacancy is 22/09/2025Please note that applications submitted after this closing date will not be accepted.*Please be advised that if successful you will be placed on the salary range based on your skills and experience.
