Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer in the Cloud & AI team you will:
* Work with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to deliver compelling new features.
* Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and support large scale distributed software services and solutions.
* Troubleshoot and optimize test automation, reliability, performance, and monitoring for production services.
* Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews.
* Conduct technical reviews to assure Microsoft's quality, security and compliance standards are met.
* Participate in on-call rotations and postmortem reviews to improve service resilience.
* Develop "best-in-class" engineering for our services by ensuring that components are well-defined, modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.
* Promote automation in production and deployment processes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
* Experience with one or more modern programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, Python, Rust, C/C++, C#.
* Experience in one or more of the following is a positive:
*
o Large-scale distributed systems
*
o Systems administration and system-level programming
*
o Virtualization and hypervisor engineering
*
o OS engineering
*
o Network engineering
*
o HPC systems
*
o AI engineering
