Civil Engineering Project Management Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Civils Project Manager to oversee their construction project in Athlone.
* Develop and implement best practice guidelines for health, safety, and environmental matters.
* Ensure accurate setting out methods and techniques are implemented on the project site.
* Oversee the creation of comprehensive drawings and specification documents that provide sufficient information for construction purposes.
* Verify the completeness of these documents and request any missing information in a timely manner to avoid delays.
* Conduct quality checks according to company and project procedures.
* Communicate effectively with foremen and supervisors to ensure full understanding of provided information.
* Support the team by creating written risk assessments and method statements for controlling project activities.
* Maintain a detailed daily site diary, including changes, variations, subcontractors' attendance, and records of work-related discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.
* Proven experience or training in surveying and CAD techniques.
* Proficiency in using setting out equipment, including total stations, and reading drawings and specification documents.
* Effective communication and presentation skills for management, clients, and public.
* Able to discuss engineering issues with people across various levels and disciplines.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of current civil engineering legislation, Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation.
