Senior Automation Engineer / Consultant – DeltaV / DCS / PLC / SCADA
Location: Dublin / Remote
Start Date: 1–2 weeks
We are currently supporting a major consultancy client on a project for a pharmaceutical client and are looking to engage an experienced Senior Automation Engineer / Consultant for an initial 6-month contract.
This role will suit someone with strong hands‑on experience across DeltaV, DCS, PLC and SCADA environments, ideally gained within pharmaceutical, biotech, or other GxP‑regulated manufacturing settings.
The client is looking for a contractor who can work independently, deliver automation projects end to end, and operate confidently in a client‑facing environment.
Key experience required:
Strong experience with DeltaV / Emerson DeltaV
Experience delivering end‑to‑end automation projects
Previous work within pharma, biotech, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments
Good understanding of GMP / GxP environments
Experience across areas such as design, configuration, testing, commissioning, validation, qualification, FAT / SAT
Comfortable working directly with clients and stakeholders
Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Commissioning / CQV / CSV Engineer with strong controls exposure
The successful contractor will be:
Technically strong and hands‑on
Comfortable in a client‑facing role
Experienced in regulated project delivery
Proactive, reliable, and able to take ownership of workstreams
