Location: Kilcullen, Co. Kildare
Permanent Contract • 35 hours per week
Speech & Language Therapist Salary Scale: €44,563 to €63,786 DOE
The Speech and Language Therapist will work on the Adult Clinical Support Team in Kare, contributing to the delivery of an effective service in line with organisational priorities and department objectives, and always acting within their professional standards, guidelines and policy. This role will operate as part of the Speech & Language Department, which is part of a wider clinical supports team.
Responsibilities
* Plan and organise activities and necessary resources efficiently and effectively
* Implement sufficient clinical skills in assessment intervention and diagnostics to meet the specific needs of the relevant caseload
* Be aware of policy, legislative and professional requirements to ensure appropriate standards
* Ensure that all records and technical data are up to date and available if required
* Ensure strict compliance with health and safety standards and adhere to operational guidelines, ensuring equipment is checked and working correctly in accordance with safety standards
* Collaborate with the service user while working in partnership with their family / carers and all other relevant stakeholders to identify and achieve goals
* Form strong positive working relationships across all areas of the service, building on a common understanding
* Attend and actively contribute to relevant clinical and professional and service meetings
Requirements
* A qualification, recognised by CORU, in Speech and Language Therapy
* Experience working with children/young people/adults with disability is an advantage (including placement experience)
* Be registered with CORU or eligible for registration with CORU. 2025 graduates awaiting CORU registration and/or newly qualified Speech and Language Therapists are welcome to apply.
* Hold an appropriate and effective set of professional values and beliefs and behave in line with professional standards as set down by Kare and relevant professional bodies
* An undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in dysphagia
* Excellent time management and IT/computer skills
* Be eligible to work in Ireland
* Full Clean Licence and access to own vehicle is essential
