Head Chef for a Luxury Venue
The ideal candidate will be a culinary expert with previous experience leading busy kitchens in upscale hotels or restaurants.
They will oversee all aspects of food preparation and service, plan menus showcasing local produce, and maintain high standards of quality and hygiene. The successful candidate must have excellent leadership skills, a strong creative background, and the ability to produce consistently high-quality dishes.
1. Lead by example and ensure that all team members are working efficiently and effectively.
2. Recruit, train, and develop new staff while improving existing staff's skills and knowledge.
3. Develop and implement menu plans that meet customer expectations and showcase local products.
4. Maintain excellent food quality, minimize wastage levels, and control costs.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including HACCP protocols.
6. Monitor suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best deals.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef in a similar environment.
* Expertise in menu planning for fine dining and banqueting events.
* Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and cost control.
* Passion for cooking and creativity, with a deep understanding of industry trends.
