An General Operative must be proactive and adaptable and strive to ensure the highest levels of cleaning standards are consistently met. You should be able to work with a team carrying out a variety of cleaning tasks. Key Responsibilities:To contribute to a culture of engagement, involvement and continuous improvement within the cleaning teamSupport the delivery of all exterior cleaning and additional technical services within the designated time and to the required standard and satisfaction of the customer.Restocking of cleaning vehicles and equipmentComplete full exterior washing of aircraft including wet, dry, hand and tech washes to remove stains, dust, soil, carbon, grease or oil depositBe proficient in cleaning all aspects of the exterior including wings, belly, wheels etcComplete additional works including flight deck technical cleans, carpet fittings, and carpet shampooingDe-icing during the winter periodsOperating bowser/ground handling equipment and cherry picker/scissor lift around the airportSupport other teams when required with cleaning interior areas of aircraft including the cabin, galleys and lavatories, and toilet and water serviceMaintain a safe working environment at all times, especially when using equipment and PPESkills/Qualities required:Ability to work under pressure to schedules and adapt quickly to suit client needs.Ability to work shifts, bank holidays and weekends.A full manual driving licence recognised by the IRE is desirable.Good attention to detail to take pride in cleaning standards.Previous aircraft cleaning experience would be highly beneficial.Valid Passport/ID and right to work in IREProof of Address and National Insurance Number.5 years' check-able work history.Receipt of a satisfactory standard disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.Must be willing to undergo relevant training as required.Zero tolerance approach to health & safety non-compliance.Excellent communication skills.Safety and Compliance Responsibilities: All employees have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to: Fully understand and comply with the company Health and Safety and Safety Management System policies.Co-operate with management to perform or comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.Take reasonable care and necessary precautions for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions whilst at work.Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, safety or welfare reasons.Report any work situation, equipment or activity that represent a danger to health and safety.Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences.Carry out work in accordance with company information, procedures and training provided.
