Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within Geary Institute for Public Policy.
The Geary Institute for Public Policy is a centre of excellence for policy-relevant research in University College Dublin.
Established in 1999, the Institute supports the design, funding, implementation, and dissemination of the research of its 250 members who are academics and postdoctoral researchers from across UCD and who work primarily in the social and behavioural sciences.
The Institute's strategic plan for the 2025-30 period - entitled Empowering Policy Excellence (EPEx) - aims to strengthen evidence for policy and enable policymakers in Ireland, other European countries and international organisations to achieve excellence in policymaking, implementation and evaluation.
This will be achieved through an innovative combination of initiatives to support policy-relevant research activities, strengthen relationships between policy professionals and researchers, build research impact capacity, and provide an Executive Education and Training programme to enhance policy professionals' knowledge and skills.
This post-doctoral research fellow role is intended to contribute to the design and implementation of the Empowering Policy Excellence (EPEx) programme and particularly to strengthening its evidence base by conducting a programme of research on the latest innovations in policymaking systems and ideas on strengthening policy skills in Ireland and internationally.
Salary Range: €46,805 - €53,391 Per Annum Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
