Job Title: Technical Operations Expert
We are seeking a skilled Technical Operations Expert to join our team in Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex technical projects and develop your expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert operational support to cloud-based systems, utilizing technologies such as Linux, Docker, and languages including Java, Python, and bash.
* Participate in on-call Level 1 or Level 2 rosters, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
* Liaise with customer engineers to resolve complex technical issues related to Open Search and other supported technologies.
* Undertake complex cluster operations, including migrations, upgrades, and maintenance, to ensure high system availability.
* Develop and continually improve internal automation tools, applications, and processes to enhance overall efficiency.
Requirements:
* EU Citizenship, adhering to EU laws, rules, and regulations.
* Proven experience in Open Search technology, preferably including issue investigation, upgrades/migration, and upskilling to an expert level.
* Experience diagnosing issues/problems with other technologies such as Cassandra and Kafka is advantageous.
* Good experience working on one Public Cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* Previous IT customer service/support experience is desirable.
* Strong fundamental computer science/software engineering skills, particularly Operating System internals, memory management, and networking.
* Excellent knowledge and experience with Linux and comfort working from the command line.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
