In addition to core warehousing and distribution, we offer a range of specialised value-added services tailored to meet customer requirements.Job Summary:The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and profitable service under their control that provides and exceeds agreed service levels to our customers. Develop the activities under their control to ensure continuous improvement of Key Performance Indicators, as agreed with their Regional General Manager/Managing Director. To collaborate with other key managers to achieve the company's business aims and objectives. Consistently adhering to company procedures and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organisational requirements.Key Responsibilities:Ensure the efficient operation of designated warehouse operations to meet financial targets, with agreed budgets, set cost management, and agreed job costings.Meet and exceed agreed Service Level Agreements using pre-determined Key Performance Indicators (KPI).Optimise all resources (people, equipment, space) under their control to meet objectives including staffing, work patterns, equipment utilisation, process mapping and buildings.Must have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to build and work with multifunctional teams towards company goals and objectives.Ability to build and sustain productive relationships with customers and suppliers, working with Regional General Manager/Managing Director within the business on contract extension/new business/vendor management/account management plans.Ability to innovate through self-generated ideas, instigating continuous improvement within teams and application of best practice across their remit.Must have good rapport with all staff/managers and any external bodies i.e. Trade Unions.Must ensure full compliance with legal authorities i.e. Road Haulage O license, Health & Safety, Environment, Local Authorities (councils) etc.Completes all necessary checks and actions pertaining to any auditing requirements (where applicable) i.e BRCGS, MSC, ASC, Organic accreditations & EU AEO and Bonded Warehouse, and completes all relevant documentation.Must manage teams under their control in regard to KPI's, Budgets, Forecasts, Asset Management.To deputise for the Regional General Manager as required.Champions company vision, values, and culture.Liaising with H&S teams, HR, Accounts, and other senior leaders as necessary.This list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to perform other responsible tasks.Health & Safety Responsibilities:It is the legal obligation of all employees to take reasonable care to avoid injury to themselves or to others who may be affected by their work/actions. Employees will:Not misuse anything provided in the interests of safety.Ensure that they are aware of, understand and conform to the site safety procedures.Assist in the carrying out of risk assessments, and development of safe systems of work.Carry out the duties assigned to them in accordance with safe systems of work.Wear appropriate safety equipment where required and use appropriate safety control measures.Report all accidents and incidents to the Department/Line Managers, whether persons are injured or not.Suggest ways of improving Health & Safety in the company.Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in their work area.Report all hazards to the Department Manager.Assist in conducting Health & Safety sampling inspections.Ensure all staff understand Company emergency procedure.Department/Line Managers have responsibility for safety issues in their relevant sections. They shall:Ensure the attainment of objectives within their departments through effective communication and allocation of responsibilities.Ensure effective safety management within their departments through the effective implementation of site-specific procedures.Ensure that all employees in their departments are aware of the all-site specific Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.Identify specific training requirements where appropriate.Ensure all hazards, near misses, and accidents are reported and acted on, and lead accident investigations in their area of authority.Monitor the attainment of department targets and objectives.Be involved with annual Health & Safety auditing as required.Limitations:Cannot commit the company to capital expenditure.May not deviate from the company policy in any respect without authorisation from Directors.Any changes to policies or procedures must be referred to the Managing Director.Essential Qualifications/Skills:Warehouse management experience (preferably cold store warehousing).Extensive experience of operational management and control within 3PL.Graduate-level qualification or equivalent.Excellent leadership skills.Proven commercial acumen.IT literate and numerate.Good presentation skills.Excellent problem-solving skills.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: Up to €70,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionFree or subsidised travelWork Location: On the road
