Job Title: Healthcare Assistant
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant at Trinity Care. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families.
About the Role:
* Assist in the provision of care to our residents and work collaboratively with the care team to achieve excellent standards.
* Earn while ensuring that all clients retain their dignity and individuality.
* Be involved in various activities within the nursing home, including social events and leisure activities.
Requirements:
* A genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
* The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* A willingness to be part of a team and participate in training and development opportunities.
* FETEC/NFQ 5 or equivalent qualification.
Main Responsibilities:
Care:
* Maintain high standards of care by supporting and assisting clients with daily living activities, such as washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and other aspects of personal care.
* Provide attention and support to clients as needed, while ensuring their comfort and dignity.
* Pay close attention to clients who have limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, making effective use of aids provided.
* Monitor clients who may be confused or have behavioral problems.
* Assist in promoting continence and providing care for clients who are dying or have a progressive illness.
Social Activities:
* Participate in framework of social activities by interacting with clients and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the care centre.
* Make visitors feel welcome and provide refreshments as required.
Housekeeping:
* Make and change beds, ensuring rooms are clean and tidy, and commodes are empty, in line with the Nursing Home's disposal of waste policy.
* Ensure the Nursing Home is kept clean and tidy, in line with the Company's attention to detail philosophy.
* Clean and maintain equipment used by Clients/Relatives, e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles, etc.
Confidentiality:
* Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with clients' personal and financial affairs.
* Avoid abuse of the privileged relationship that exists with clients.
