I'm supporting a well‑established insurance brokerage that's looking to add an experienced
Commercial Account Executive
to their team in Cork. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys managing a diverse commercial portfolio, building strong client relationships, and working closely with senior colleagues to deliver exceptional service.
You'll join a collaborative team environment where you'll take ownership of an established book of business, support an Account Director, and play a key role in client retention and development. The role offers hybrid working after onboarding.
The role:
* Managing a portfolio of commercial clients, handling renewals, mid‑term adjustments, and day‑to‑day servicing
* Supporting Account Directors with larger or more complex accounts
* Ensuring all processes, documentation, and compliance requirements are followed to a high standard
* Handling client queries professionally and efficiently, ensuring a positive customer experience
* Maintaining strong relationships with insurers, clients, and internal teams
* Managing premium collection and aged debt in line with agreed procedures
* Contributing to team targets and supporting colleagues to ensure overall success
* Ensuring file quality meets regulatory and internal audit standards
Your profile
* CIP qualification or almost APA - is a must
* Strong commercial insurance knowledge and technical understanding
* Experience managing a commercial book of business
* Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional manner
* Ability to work effectively within a team and build strong relationships
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
* A positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to learn
* Proficiency with Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Experience using Open GI (advantageous)
