Aviate Credit Union Limited, serving over 18,000 members and managing assets of €150m is located in Dublin Airport, with branches at Shannon and Cork Airports.

Aviate Credit Union is seeking to appoint a full time Credit Controller on a Special Purpose Contract (Maternity Leave Cover up to 12 months).
The role will be based in Dublin office at Cloghran House, Corballis Way, Dublin Airport.
The position will have overall responsibility for the credit control function within the credit union; to professionally and efficiently ensure the repayment of loans and overdrafts by members in accordance to agreements, and to ensure credit control risks in the lending portfolios are identified and assessed, managed and mitigated to the credit unions acceptable tolerance levels.
Key Responsibilities
Providing members with a courteous, pleasant and professional service while maintaining a balance between the credit control function and the ethos of the credit union.
Conducting member account reviews andmaintaining accurate files and information regarding the pursuit of accounts not being maintained in accordance with agreements.
Negotiating repayment plans and monitoring agreed repayments
Reviewing and making recommendations on decisions in relation to accounts in Personal Insolvency arrangements
Liaising with debt collection agencies in the matter of accounts placed, progress made and monies received
Liaising with the debt collection solicitors in the matter of accounts placed, action required, progress made and monies received.
Ensuring credit control policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Reviewing and recommending changes to Credit Control policies and procedures
Managing relationships and reviewing external providers in relation to existing and potential outsourced credit control functions
Assisting the CFO in undertaking a full loan book review for consideration of write off and provisioning on a regular basis in accordance with agreed parameters
Ensuring CCR (Central Credit Register) reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner and managing members queries in relation to CCR
Preparing monthly, quarterly reports for CFO, Committee and Board Meetings
Analysing arrears trends and proactively managing them to improve loan book credit quality
Monitoring mortgage arrears and managing associated MARP (Mortgage Arrears Resolution Process) processes
The successful candidate will have
At least 3 years' experience in a credit control / arrears management role in financial services sector (ideally credit union sector)
Minimum competency requirements as set out in the Central Bank Guidelines, i.e.
QFA or APA Loans
Proficiency in MS Office package, particularly Excel
Good commercial awareness with a good understanding of the personal insolvency process and working knowledge of debt litigation and small claims process
Good awareness with a good understanding of MARP processes
Good understanding of CCR reporting
