Our client is a highly successful Irish organisation with a significant presence in Ireland and the UK.They are now interested in talking to Data Protection specialists for aData Protection Managerrole.This position reports to the Chief Legal Officer and you will work closely with the IT Director.It's importantthat you have a significant understanding of legislative requirements, data protection law etc, but also a very good understanding of technology from a systems implementation perspective.Experience required:You will have at least 4 years' experience.Responsibilities:Advise on data protection matters and escalate data privacy issues to senior managementAct as senior leader of relevant data protection committeesAnalyse, evaluate and advise on the privacy impact of existing and upstream legislative, regulatory, legal developments and industry proposals on services and companiesAssist and advise on compliance with data protection, privacy, security regulations, information technology policies, standards and processes.Liaise with the relevant data protection regulators in the jurisdictions that we operate in.Provide practical and actionable advice on the design and continuous improvement of policies, operational processes, risk assessments, controls, monitoring and governance.One direct report into this role (administrator)Essential:You must be a self-starter, highly organised and an excellent communicatorPrevious DP experienceExcellent academics - legal, technology, businessHybrid working - 3 days on site, 2 remoteOnsite subsidised canteenOnsite gymPension contributionDiscretionary bonusParkingLocation:West Dublin (D24, M50) - parking available and also serviced by the Red LuasThis is a wonderfully collaborative team who work in a cohesive environment.
