One of Ireland's best clients to work for is looking for a Snr Windows IT Support Engineer to join their End User Computing team. This role will be responsible for providing advanced technical support across a diverse technology environment, ensuring excellent service delivery and maintaining a secure, reliable end-user experience.
Job Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support for end users across Windows and Mac environments via phone, email, remote support, and ticketing platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, operating system, and application-related issues.
Support and administer Microsoft 365 services, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure Active Directory, and enterprise applications.
Manage user account provisioning, permissions, access controls, and group administration.
Deploy, configure, and maintain desktop, laptop, mobile, and peripheral devices throughout their lifecycle.
Perform software deployment, patch management, and endpoint administration using enterprise management tools.
Investigate system alerts, identify root causes of technical issues, and escalate where necessary.
Assist with network-related troubleshooting across LAN and WAN environments in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user training materials.
Support endpoint security initiatives, vulnerability remediation activities, and patch compliance programmes.
Participate in incident response, disaster recovery testing, and operational support activities.
Collaborate closely with infrastructure, application support, security, and global IT teams to deliver high-quality services.
Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, including server patching and on-call support rotations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT service management processes and operational procedures.

Experience Required

Minimum 4-5 years' experience in a Windows IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or End User Computing environment.
Strong hands‑on experience supporting both Windows and Mac operating systems.
Experience managing device deployment, endpoint administration, and operating system lifecycle activities.
Proven experience supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Exchange environments.
Knowledge of software deployment and patch management solutions within enterprise environments.
Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, and endpoint connectivity troubleshooting.
Experience working within structured IT service management frameworks.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with a user‑focused approach.
Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar tools.
Exposure to endpoint management and device management platforms including Intune or equivalent technologies.
Knowledge of Apple device administration and security management.
Familiarity with vulnerability management processes and endpoint security best practices.
Basic scripting or automation experience using PowerShell or similar technologies.
Experience supporting enterprise‑scale environments with global users.
Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft certifications, or Apple certifications.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Third Level Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Relevant professional certifications would be considered advantageous.
