Senior Engineer - Civils & M&E
Location: Letterkenny, Co. Donegal
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a growing project team in Letterkenny. This is a hands‑on site‑based role with a strong focus on civil engineering works, alongside coordination and oversight of M&E elements of the project.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee civil engineering works on site, including groundworks, drainage, concrete works, and associated infrastructure
Coordinate and interface with M&E contractors to ensure works are integrated smoothly with civils packages
Ensure all works are carried out in line with design drawings, specifications, and method statements
Set out works accurately using GPS/Total Station as required
Manage and mentor Site Engineers and junior staff
Liaise with Project Manager, subcontractors, and design teams on a daily basis
Monitor progress against programme and report on site performance
Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety standards and company procedures
Assist with inspections, snagging, and handover processes
Requirements
Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar Senior Engineer role
Strong background in civil engineering works (essential)
Experience working alongside or coordinating M&E works on live construction projects
Excellent setting‑out skills and ability to interpret technical drawings
Strong leadership and communication skills
Self‑motivated with the ability to manage site activities independently
