A Bit of Background
There are many watches and devices on the market that help runners improve their fitness and track their exercise load. But, all too often the signals coming from the device are confusing or frustrating. For example, when you complete a great run and you are told it was unproductive or your VO2max has been stuck for a while and then goes down and you didn't see it coming. The watches are designed to keep you wearing them and offer so much data that users get confused and cannot make sense of all of it. On top of this, companies are now putting pay walls in front of their fitness insights, even though you have already paid for the device.
tryingtorun was created to solve this problem by doing the following:
* Focus on pace and heart rate only.
Sports science tells us that cardio fitness and exercise load are directly related to speed and heart rate over time. tryingtorun focuses exclusively on these two data points and has developed an AI model to calculate fitness and exercise load scores.
* Simplify insights
. Many of the apps out there use running specific language and present too many data points for everyday people to wrap their heads around. tryingtorun removes the signals not needed and provides simple insights that clearly indicate if fitness is improving and if exercise load is within safe limits to avoid injury.
* Democratise access to your running data and give you control, for as cheaply as possible.
We have worked hard to provide a sophisticate technology platform at very low cost. The platform integrates with Garmin, Strava, Google Health Connect and Apple webkit to not only provide you with your insights but to empower you to store and access your data for free. Right now our platform is available for free on Android and iOS.
P.S. our next major release will not be limited to running and will allow users to analyse data for any exercise that captures speed and heart rate

The Chief Community Officer will be responsible for attracting users, keeping them engaged, learning from them and putting the boot into the engineers to add new capabilities. As this is a side hustle and a part time gig you will have complete freedom on when and how to do this as long as it is done in a collaborative way and with a growth mindset.
Required Attributes (Be ready to demonstrate these 100%)
* You are a passionate runner, cyclist or other sport.
* You are a good human being who people warm to and our founder can go for a pint with (no requirement to drink pints though, coffee or water are cool too)
* You understand our mission and can fully buy into it or suggest ways to make it even better
* You understand social media and know how to build an online community that will engage
* You understand community and know how to generate interest and loyalty

* You enjoy your sport but you are not too competitive. We are open minded on this but we want someone that can align with our audience (everyday people using running to get fitter not just faster)
* You already have a significant online presence
